Guangzhou - Day 1
Hello,
Just a quick post for today. We left Lanzhou at noon today and flew
to Guangzhou. Katie-Beth was very good on the plane except she was too
excited to sleep so now she has missed her afternoon nap and is seriously
tired and grumpy. We tried to put her down for a nap and she slept for
about 20 minutes and then just screamed her poor little head off. Mike
gave up and put her down on the floor and now she is very content just
to schooch around.
We are at the famous White Swan hotel. Very nice! (Except we are in twin beds again! I'm going to forget what it feels like to sleep next to my husband!) We will try to send more pictures tomorrow.
Tomorrow we get her Visa photos. Then we get to explore Shiamen Island.
It looks like there are a lot of shops and nice places to eat nearby.
We haven't really done ANY shopping yet, so that should be fun.
Well I'm about as bushed as Katie-Beth so I will close out for now. I have included another picture of Katie-Beth and a shot of little Jimmy, Katie-Beth's future boyfriend. (He was one of the babies from her orphanage, a little boy and too cute!)
